Adding Devices
How to create and manage device groups in BitVision, and how to add cameras or recorders using SN/QR scan, AP/Wi-Fi mode, LAN search, or IP/DDNS.
Device Manage
BitVision app device management lets you add, edit, and delete groups and devices in your account.
Management Group
Management groups are used to add, edit, and delete groups in BitVision accounts.
Add Group
In the sliding menu bar, tap Device manage, or tap the
icon in the main interface to open the Device manage screen.

Edit.

Tap Create in the top-right corner.

Enter the group name in the Create new dialog and tap Done.

The group is added successfully. It now appears in the group list.

Edit Group
In the edit group interface, select the group to edit and tap the
icon.

Modify the group name and tap Done.

The group name is successfully modified.

Delete Group
In the edit group interface, select the group to delete and tap the
Delete icon.

A confirmation dialog appears. Tap Done to confirm.

The group is successfully deleted.

Instruction
- After a group is deleted, all devices in the group will be placed in the default My Device group.
- The default groupings My Devices, Share devices, Local device, and My favorites in the device list cannot be edited, modified, or deleted.
Add Device
BitVision supports several methods to add a device: SN Add (scan or manual), AP Mode, Wi-Fi Mode, LAN Search, and IP/DDNS.
SN (Serial Number) Add
Before adding a device, pay attention to:
- Make sure the device to be added is connected to the Internet, P2P is turned on, and it is online.
- The phone is connected to the wireless network.
In the sliding menu bar, tap Device manage, or tap the
icon in the main interface to enter the Device manage screen.

Tap SN Add.

Align the QR code on the device or the P2P interface to scan. The device web P2P interface is shown on the right below.


You can also tap Input in the upper right corner to manually enter the serial number, or tap the photo library icon to select a device serial number QR code image from your phone album.
Enter the username admin, the corresponding password, and the verification code (Captcha) of the device. The Captcha is printed on the device label if present (see label example below). Tap Submit.


Tap Please set the device name, enter the device name, and tap Done.


Tap Please choose a group, select the camera group, tap Done, then tap Finish.


The device is added successfully and appears in the device list.

Instruction
- When adding a device, you can manually enter the serial number by tapping Input in the upper right corner of the scan screen.
- You can tap the photo library icon to open your phone album and select a device serial number QR code image to add the device.
- You must ensure that the device is online before it can be added successfully.
- You must enter the device username as admin; the password and verification code must match the actual device settings, otherwise the device will fail to be added.
- Available add methods: SN Add, AP Model, Wifi Model, LAN Search, and IP/DDNS (direct add).
- AP Mode and Wifi Mode are used to add configurable Wi-Fi devices; follow the in-app prompt steps to configure the device and connect it to Wi-Fi to add it to the account.
- LAN Search can support shake to search; follow the in-app prompt steps to search and add LAN internal devices. Devices found via LAN search can only preview live video and cannot be added to the device list.
- IP/DDNS mode lets you directly enter device information and add a direct-attached device to the account. After adding a direct-attached device, a Local device group appears in Device manage.
IP / DDNS Mode Add Device
The BitVision IP/DDNS function is used to directly connect devices that have been port-mapped. You can add, edit, and delete devices to play device video in real time.
In the sliding menu bar, tap Device manage, or tap the
icon in the main interface to enter the Device manage screen.

Add device.

Tap IP/DDNS.

Select the device type (IPC/FISH, DVR, or X/N/HVR), then enter the Device serial, Device name, Address, Private port, Username, Password, and channel number. Tap Save.

The device is added to the Local device group.
