Web Configuration
Configure video, audio, image, storage, events, and maintenance settings through the IP camera's web interface.
Video
Video Encoding
In this section you can configure the compression codec (H.265 or H.264), the number of streams, and the resolution for each stream.
For each stream (main stream or sub-stream), you can also set the following additional parameters:
- Stream Type: Select the stream to configure.
- Video Encoding: Choose the codec. Note that some NVRs may not support H.265. The MJPEG codec (not supported by all ISPs) produces large files because each frame is a full JPEG image.
- Profile: Available only when Stream Type = Main Stream and Video Encoding = H.264. Allows you to select the encoding profile (Base, Main, or High).
- Resolution: Select the video resolution.
- Frame Rate: Set the number of frames displayed per second.
- BitRate: Set the bitrate value in Kbit/s.
- BitRate Type: Select the encoding mode. Choose CBR (Constant Bit Rate) to always use the specified bitrate regardless of scene content. Choose VBR (Variable Bit Rate) for a dynamic codec that scales quality based on how much motion is in the scene.
- I Frame Interval: Set the I-frame interval. A higher value means fewer full frames are transmitted (one full image is sent every N frames), which reduces bandwidth usage — but at the cost of more visible artefacts during playback if there are transmission issues or when the scene changes abruptly.
- H.265+ / H.264+: Enables enhancements to the selected Video Encoding codec on the main stream only. If you experience playback problems, disable this option.
If you experience problems playing back the video stream, disable H.265+.
Audio
This function enables recording and playback of an audio stream. Check Audio Enable and select the audio encoding format under Audio Encode: G711U, G711A, or AAC.
Under Volume you can adjust the input and output volume levels.
Audio is only available on devices that include a microphone or audio input.
Image
Image Adjustment
In this section you can adjust all the detailed video image settings.
- AF Focus (PTZ/varifocal models only): Choose the preferred focus mode. Manual mode disables automatic autofocus — after changing the zoom level you can adjust focus manually via the web interface. Automatic / Semi-Automatic modes provide automatic autofocus.
- Image Adjustment: Adjust the levels of Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, and Sharpness. Click Default to restore factory values.
- Exposure Settings: Configure exposure parameters and the flicker-compensation level.
- Day and Night Switch: Select the activation mode from the Day/Night Switch menu:
- Scheduled Time — switches on a timed schedule.
- Night / Day — always on or always off.
- Automatic — switches based on the light sensor near the lens. Note that the ICR filter is a lens that blocks the infrared components of light on the CMOS sensor, preventing chromatic aberrations during daylight hours. At night the filter is removed, allowing infrared light to reach the CMOS sensor and enabling black-and-white night vision.
- Light Brightness affects the percentage of IR LED activation. If reflections are an issue you can reduce it to limit reflections.
- Sensitivity lets you adjust how quickly the switch is triggered.
- Light Brightness (in the IR section) sets the IR intensity to help avoid over-exposure (glare).
- White Balance: Control the white-balance of the image. Two profiles are available. Fine-tuning can produce more accurate colour reproduction, but requires careful analysis as the intensity and source of the scene lighting changes.
- Video Adjustment: In the Mirroring combo box, select the rotation type to apply to the video (horizontal, vertical, or both) — useful to compensate for unusual mounting orientations. The Corridor Pattern combo box lets you apply a 90° or 270° rotation to the captured video. You can also set the Refresh Rate (50 Hz or 60 Hz).
- Image Enhancement: Enable WDR and noise-reduction filters.
- WDR (Wide Dynamic Range): Produces clear images even when there is strong back-lighting. The exposure (shutter speed) is dynamically adjusted for different zones of the scene — faster for brightly-lit zones and slower for dark zones. The result is a brighter, more uniform image with well-exposed objects. Enable WDR only when the camera is used outdoors; indoor lighting may cause flickering artefacts.
- DNR (Digital Noise Reduction): Reduces the typical noise present in low-light scenes, both in static scenes and dynamic scenes (where a motion trail effect can appear). Multiple levels are available. 2DNR compensates primarily for static scenes; 3DNR adapts to dynamic scenes.
- Backlight Settings: Configure backlight-compensation parameters.
- BLC (Backlight Compensation): Select the area of the scene where the filter is active.
- HLC (Highlight Compensation): Alternatively, enable HLC to handle specific spot-lighting situations.
If you notice flickering in the video, this is usually caused by fluorescent lighting, which can run at a frequency slightly different from 50 Hz and cause visible flickering. Adjusting the refresh rate may resolve the issue.
OSD (On-Screen Display)
In this section you can enable the video overlay of the Time, Text, and Week fields.
For each overlay string you can set the position (top-left or bottom-left) and the display format.
Storage
Recording Schedule
- Rec Setup: Check Enable Record to activate scheduled or continuous recording. Select the stream to record (from the 3 available) and the recording mode (Normal, Motion, Alarm, or Motion & Alarm). Under Advanced Parameters you can set the pre-recording time and event duration. Then set the time slots during which recording will be active; the colour legend helps identify the schedule. Click Save. Events can be configured in the Events section.
- Screenshot: Under Capture Plan, highlight the time slots during which snapshot recording is active. Then under Snapshot Parameter, check Enable Timed Capture and/or Enable Event Snapshot to activate snapshot recording. In Image Format / Resolution you can select the format and resolution. Interval Time sets the time between two consecutive snapshots, or the duration of an event with the number of images to capture. Click Save to apply the new settings.
Depending on the device, some menus may not be available.
Storage Management
- Storage (SD Card): Format the inserted SD card. The total and free space are shown. Under Capture Quota Percentage and Video Quota Percentage you can set the storage quota reserved for images (10%) and video (90%). These quotas take effect after formatting. The device supports SD cards of at least 16 GB and may not be compatible with all SD cards.
- Cloud Storage: Configure settings for uploading images (on motion detection events) to your cloud storage account (Google Drive / Dropbox). A folder is created — one per day/hour — inside the main folder where the camera uploads all images associated with motion events. Under Cloud Storage Type select Google. Open the page, log in to your Google account, go to
https://www.google.com/device, and enter the code (XXXX-YYYY) shown on the Auth Code field. Then authorize the device in Google. Click Bind on the camera's web page. After a few seconds, the status next to Cloud Storage Type changes from Unbound to Bound. At the bottom, the used and total space (15 GB offered by default) are shown.
Due to ongoing changes in Google's policy, continuity of this service cannot be guaranteed.
Before starting, remove any existing app associations in the Google account's connected apps section (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions?pli=1).
Create the cloud binding first and confirm it succeeds on the account, then create the policy in Linkage Method.
Event
Basic Event
-
Motion Detection: Set the policies for activating events triggered by motion detection. Check Enable to activate motion detection. Click Select ALL / Clear ALL to select the entire scene or clear any previously defined analysis zones. Move the mouse over the scene and hold the left mouse button (without releasing) to draw a rectangle that will be highlighted with a red grid — this defines the analysis zone. Multiple zones can be created. Finally choose the sensitivity level (out of 10) common to all highlighted zones. Click Save. In Arming Schedule you can set a time filter on a weekly schedule during which analysis is active (highlighted areas are coloured). Click Save. In Linkage Method you can choose the actions to take when motion is detected (SMTP, FTP, Cloud, or if available, I/O Output). The system can save the selected stream to the SD card by activating a schedule in Storage → Plan Configuration with Video Type = Motion. Select I/O Output to activate the output contact.
-
Privacy Mask: Up to 3 coverage masks can be set. Move the mouse over the scene and hold the left mouse button (without releasing) to draw a rectangle (shown with a red border) whose area will be covered. Click Delete to remove a previously set mask.
-
Video Tampering: Refer to the Motion Detection section for configuration.
-
Alarm Input (specific models only): Check Alarm Input to enable the alarm input. In Alarm Type, choose the operating mode: Normally Open (triggers when the contact closes) or Normally Closed (triggers when the contact opens). Set the operating time interval in Arming Schedule on a weekly basis and click Save. In Linkage Method choose the actions to take on alarm (SMTP, FTP, Cloud, or if available, I/O Output). The system can save the selected stream to the SD card by activating a schedule in Storage → Plan Configuration with Video Type = Alarm. Select I/O Output to activate the output contact.
The camera detects contact open/close when a voltage of at least 3.6 VDC is applied (for at least 0.3 s) between PIN 2 (−) and PIN 1 (+).
- Do not apply voltages above 5 VDC.
- The applied voltage must be DC (direct current).
-
Alarm Output (specific models only): In the Duration field, set the duration in seconds of the activation and set the operating interval in Arming Schedule on a weekly basis. Click Save. Click Manual Alarm / Clear Alarm to manually test the activation and deactivation of the output and verify correct operation (the relay should produce an audible click near the device).
The camera cannot directly power a device connected to the Alarm OUT.
Connect one of the wires between the battery (power supply) and the load to PIN 3 and PIN 4 (PIN 4 connected to the battery negative, PIN 3 connected to the load negative; the load positive connects to the battery positive).
The maximum power through the output must be less than 6 W (maximum voltage 12 VDC).
-
Exception: If problems are detected due to IP disconnection or IP conflicts, you can activate the I/O Output. Click Save to apply.
-
ROI (Region of Interest): Up to 3 ROI zones can be defined to allocate more bandwidth during video compression. These zones will therefore have greater detail.
Smart Event
The Intrusion Detection, Line Crossing Detection, Loitering Detection, and People Gathering Detection features (based on human silhouette recognition and line crossing) are currently in beta / under development. The AI integrated in the device may generate false events or miss real events.
-
Intelligent Detection: Configure settings for human silhouette recognition.
-
