Product Overview

Introduction to the IP camera's key features, system requirements, and package contents.

Safety precautions — read before use

  • Operating the device in environments with very high or very low temperatures (-15 °C ~ 40 °C) or relative humidity above 85% can cause improper operation or damage.
  • Do not use the same power socket to connect other appliances. Open the product only when it is disconnected from the power supply.
  • Do not place the device on plastic or wooden surfaces that may impede heat dissipation.
  • Place the device on a flat, stable surface.
  • Do not open the device casing or attempt to repair it yourself.
  • If the device becomes excessively hot, emits unusual sounds or odours, power it off immediately and contact qualified technical support.
  • Do not point the camera directly at the sun or other high-intensity light sources.
  • Do not touch the lens. If cleaning is required, use a cloth lightly dampened with alcohol.
  • All connections must be made with the device powered off.
  • Use exclusively the power adapter included in the box (if provided). For non-PoE models a 12 V DC adapter is required. For PoE models, power the device via a PoE switch or a PoE-capable NVR.
  • Ensure the power supply network is appropriately filtered. Voltage variations (12 VDC) can cause device blocks or improper operation.
  • Firmware upgrades must be performed from a PC connected via a wired network connection — never via a wireless client.
  • When using the camera with a third-party NVR, the NVR must support ONVIF V2.4. If compatibility issues arise, use the RTSP stream (the camera must support H.264).
  • Regulations in some jurisdictions may restrict or prohibit the use of devices capable of capturing images, video, or audio. Ensure compliance with all applicable local laws, including regulations on the storage of recorded video content.

Product Overview

The IP camera is a Bullet or Dome type device equipped with a CMOS image sensor (up to 1/2.7″) and supports resolutions from 3 MP to 8 MP (up to 3872 × 2180). It is designed for outdoor use and carries an IP66 or IP67 weatherproofing rating.

Key capabilities:

  • H.265 / H.264 compression — efficient video encoding reduces storage and bandwidth requirements.
  • ICR filter (automatic) — the automatic infrared cut filter, combined with low-power IR LEDs, enables clear imaging in complete darkness.
  • PoE (Power over Ethernet) — Mode A and Mode B — the camera can be powered directly over the Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for a separate power run. This reduces installation costs by more than 50 % and simplifies cabling.
    • Mode A (EndSpan): RJ45 cable transmission sequence 1236 (data and modulated power).
    • Mode B (MidSpan): RJ45 cable transmission sequence 1236 (data), 4578 (power).
  • Network interface — cameras connect directly to the LAN and can be managed from any PC via a web browser (Chrome or Edge), a free CMS application (up to 64 channels, Windows), or an NVR.
  • P2P remote access — scan the QR code on the device to immediately view live video on an iPhone, iPad, or Android device through the BitVision app, without configuring port forwarding or additional network settings.
  • ONVIF 2.4 / RTSP — broad interoperability with third-party NVR, NAS, and VMS software available on the market.
  • SD card slot (select models) — supports local recording. To format the card after insertion, go to Configuration → Storage → Storage management in the web interface.

This manual covers multiple device variants. Some options or features described may be available only on specific models.

System Requirements

The following are required to access the camera via a web browser or CMS application (optional — the camera can also be accessed directly via the BitVision app without a PC):

  • TCP/IP protocol installed on every PC
  • Web browser: Chrome or Edge
  • CPU: Pentium® 4 1800 MHz (or equivalent) with 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics card with at least 64 MB RAM (or equivalent on-board graphics)
  • Operating system: Windows® 7, 8, 10, or 11. Other operating systems are not supported.

Package Contents

Before use, verify that the box contains the following items: the IP camera, a mounting kit, documentation (user manual), and a warranty card. If any item is missing, contact your reseller immediately.

The appearance of some accessories may differ slightly from the photographs in the box/manual/datasheet.

Use the power adapter included in the box (if provided). Non-PoE models require a 12 V / 1 A DC power adapter. PoE models must be powered via a PoE Mode A-compatible switch or NVR.

This quick-start guide covers multiple devices. Certain features may be present only on specific models.
